Inland Technical Services was founded in Kamloops in 1986 by Henry and Vickie Pejril. What began as a testing and balancing firm serving the Thompson-Okanagan has grown into one of BC’s most experienced independent commissioning, TAB, integrated systems testing, and O&M documentation practices — with offices in Kamloops and Kelowna serving projects from Vancouver Island to the Yukon.

In 2020, Luke Buis took ownership of the firm, continuing the commitment to independent, technically rigorous building systems verification that has defined ITSL for nearly four decades. Under Luke’s leadership, ITSL has expanded its commissioning practice, deepened its healthcare expertise, and added integrated systems testing to its service offering.

Independence is the foundation of everything we do. Our technicians and commissioning providers report to the owner and engineer of record — not to the mechanical contractor who installed the systems we’re verifying. That independence is why healthcare authorities, engineers, and developers across BC specify ITSL by name.

Today, ITSL carries LEED AP BD+C credentials, AScT registrations, ACP designation, and membership in the Building Commissioning Association — and our owner serves as BCxA Western Canadian Chapter President. The firm is a BC Hydro Continuous Optimization Program approved vendor and a UL-certified body for CAN/ULC S1001 integrated systems testing.
